Sandy Lake Lodge enjoys a healthy population of moose and bears in the area surrounding its quiet and tranquil location.
From the beginning of the of the hunting season until the end of fall, hunters from many other parts of North America come to this beautiful part of Canada to harvest their trophy moose. For some, that starts in early September with a bow, while others choose to come during or after the rut when the larger boys come out to play.

While we don't guarantee a successful hunt, we have an estimated 90%+ success rate for both moose and bear. Whether or not successful, all of our hunters return home satisfied with a lifetime of stories to tell!

Great people, great food, and comfortable accommodations. Lori was a great host and cook. Vince was our guide and worked hard for all 5 days until we were successful! Overall a great experience and would definitely do it again!
I have hunted with Sandy Lake Lodge Outfitters in 2010, 2018, 2021, and 2023, and obtained a moose all four times! The food is excellent and varied throughout the week. BTW...Lori is a GREAT COOK! Lodge is comfortable as well as showers and lavatories. Would highly recommend them for a moose hunt again.

Returned for the 5th time to this wonderful place. The land of moose, partridge berries, blueberries, great stories, fabulous guides, uncertain weather, and interesting people. The whole experience is addictive and we feel blessed to have been able to partake.
Unreal people, food, and hunting. We tagged out by Wednesday and made memories of a lifetime. We shot 3 bulls and 1 cow. Lori, Kyle and Vince, with the rest of the crew, were some of the best people we've met.
Good hunt and new friends. Food a plenty. Great sunsets and sunrises, so much beautiful country and new and interesting plants and animals. Looking forward to moose steaks, burgers, sausage and heart. Looking forward to another trip back.
Everybody shot moose, 2 bulls at the beginning of the week and another 2 plus a cow taken Friday. Great trip overall. Met some awesome people with lots of stories and even picked up a few phrases. Lori...thanks for the great food and everyone thanks for the memories. Can't wait to come back in a couple of years.
